"Since 1996, I participated every year in the GreenCard lottery. It was worth never giving up hope: on Monday, May 7th, 2007, the letter came from TAD – I had finally won a GreenCard. I first called the TAD hotline and just cried. The reason: I am 57 years-old, have been unemployed since 2000 and my chances as a welfare recipient in Germany are next to none.

With the GreenCard, I have the possibility to work and start over again (and to show everyone who laughed about my love for Florida and made fun of me just who was ridiculous = an unusual incentive for me!!!!!!!!!!) Of course, a big help to me now is the TAD forum for winners. And also a thank you to the TAD team. You all are simply great!"
