Dear Reader,

Welcome to our newsletter. We hope this fall will be a good time for you.

Many people are interested in emigrant stories - the large number of emigrant shows on TV these days seems to prove that. So it is not surprising that the Auswanderehaus (Emigration Center) in Bremerhaven had a higher number of visitors in the first year of its existence than had been expected. In our Stories & Lifestyle section, we will tell you about the museum and inform you about a similar project that is being planned in Hamburg, Germany.

And also our next piece of news is connected to emigration to the US: according to official US statistics, the 300 millionth American will be born on this very day. Read more about that in our News section.

Our How To section will this time inform you about the traffic rules you should know in case you are traveling the US by car. And in our Visa & More section you will learn whether you qualify for the H-3 or the J-1 visa category, in case you are planning to go to the US as an intern or a trainee.

And, as always, we will provide you with link recommendations as well as the current State Department statistics on waiting times for family and work related immigration and the cut-off dates for green card lottery winners.

Have fun reading!

Sincerely yours,

The AMERICAN DREAM team
