Dear Reader, the sunny May weather also significantly improves the mood of our customer service staff - and we can't conceal a certain envy of our readers who are sending us emails from the US or other really sunny places around the world. Meanwhile we have sat at our computers and revised our newsletters structure according to your kind suggestions in our online survey. Since we forgot in our last newsletter to announce the winners drawn from the survey, we would like to do that now - one amazon gift card worth €50 each went to

So, what is new? We had hoped to be able to present you this newsletter in simple html-programming. That way, the newsletter would have been more clearly arranged and you could have found the single menu items without excessive scrolling. Unfortunately, this would have increased the newsletter's file size from 50kb to more than 250kb, even if we hadn't used pictures and other things like that. Since this would be too much for the capacity of many free mail accounts (hotmail, for example, only allows a maximum of 2 MB), we will have to keep the text version.

In terms of content, Breaking News will, as always, provide you with interesting information about the US consulates and the situation at the US borders. Thank God they seem to have finally stopped changing things for a while. Nevertheless, we still have some boring details for you one last time in our tax chapter.

Something more fun to read will be our "Story and Lifestyle" section with stories about US society, but also (upon popular request) about cities and regions of the US. The News Bytes chapter was previously known to you as "From all four corners of the US."

In our next issues we also want to publish more stories and reports by green card winners and immigrants who are already living in the US. If you have anything to contribute, we will be happy to include it in our newsletter. We pay €25 for every published report.
