Shocking poll results for Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton is running out of time. For the first time, her rival for the Democratic presidential candidacy, Barack Obama, is in the lead. With his newest victories, the Senator from Illinois further increased his lead in the number of delegates for the nomination convention in Denver in late August. Her last hope for presidential candidacy are the big states of Ohio and Texas, where her rival Barack Obama is behind her in the polls. However, according to recent prognoses he is catching up quickly there, too. At present, the 60-year old Senator still has a considerably lead over Obama - in Texas she is leading with 48 percent, where Obama only has 38 (IVR Polls), in Ohio she even has 56 percent and Obama only 39 (Survey USA of February 10/11). The clear victory in the US state of Wisconsin, however, gives reason for concern for Hillary Clinton's campaign strategists. On February 19, rival Barack Obama won the Wisconsin primaries as well as those in his state of birth Hawaii (as had been expected). Now, there will be "nothing" over the next two weeks, until Mini-Super-Tuesday on March 4, with the primaries in the big and important states of Texas and Ohio, among others.

US Embassy presents art by Kelly and LeWitt
Since February 13, the new US embassy in Berlin exhibits selected works of art by famous American artists. The works by Ellsworth Kelly and Sol LeWitt were specially made for the new facilities and were given to the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies by the artists themselves. Installation of the collection began as construction of the building entered the final phase in February 2008. Since that time, a twelve-meter high stainless steel totem by Ellsworth Kelly has been standing in the courtyard. In addition, a mural by Sol LeWitt, finished shortly before his death in 2007, is being installed in the glass-encased Behrenstraße entrance of the embassy. The painting that measures 4.5 by 9 meters is a diptych. Each half is a five-pointed star, one in vibrant colors, the other in black and white.
