How to get in touch with Americans
In order to feel comfortable when starting your new life with a green card in the USA, you should get in touch with American people. Getting involved in your community will help you to feel at home. Talk to your neighbors, visit communities or other organizations who help immigrants, join groups at your place of worship or be a volunteer at a school organization. Every contact will help you to get to know the people, to make friends and to start feeling at home. If you do not feel comfortable using the English language, you should surely sign up for an English class. This way you will make new friends and you will soon feel very comfortable negotiating.
