American Dream

For generations millions of people all over the world dreamed the American Dream: From rags to riches, a phenomenon always associated with the United States of America, “land of the free”.

Americandream - A History

In the past often associated with names like Rockefeller or Trump, today everybody looks up to men like Bill Gates or the founders of other huge and global playing conglomerates, for example Apple, who seem to have appeared out of nowhere and became one of the most successful and most wealthy entrepreneurs world wide. But one doesn't have to aim that high.
America is and has always been the country of cultural, linguistic and religious diversity, individual freedom and lifestyle and of course of  unlimited possibilities. It offers reams of opportunities to obtain a better life, starting with better schooling and academical education up to the point of more employment opportunities and better working conditions.

But to emigrate to the USA is a relatively complex process, at least concerning the residence authorization. If you want to stay in the USA permanently you need a so called “Green Card”, which includes a permanent residential permission for the holder, his or her spouse and all their underaged children as well as the right to work legally in the job of their choice. In order to possibly obtain such a Green Card an applicant has to meet certain demands which are not easy to accomplish.

American Dream - Impossible Dream?

But still the American Dream is reachable for everybody who dreams it. Thanks to the  American Green Card Lottery as long as eligible concerning the level of education, financial situation and family relation, everybody is invited to participate in the lottery and become a permanent or intermittent citizen of the United States.
