Number for the Visa information service of the US Embassy has changed
Please note that the phone numbers for the Visa information service of the US Embassy in Germany (for scheduling visa interviews) have changed:
Phone number: 0900 - 1-85 00 55
Fax-on-demand: 0900 - 1-85 00 58
The charge is still €1.86 per minute.
Since these numbers are only available from Germany, the US Embassy is offering a new service as of January 2, 2006:

Please note the following:
€15 will be charged for each call, and can be paid for by credit card (Visa card or Master Card; please have them on you when making your call). This service is available only in English, not in German.
Due to the Telekom's change from 0190 numbers to 0900 numbers, the number of THE AMERICAN DREAM's department for visa questions not related to the green card lottery has changed as well. We can now be reached under 0900 1 - 72 44 11, still for €1.24 per minute.
