Unfortunately, we have not yet received the promised report about Hurricane Katrina from one of our winners. However, we would like to recommend to you a column by another successful emigrant - Milan Obradovic won the green card via The American Dream in 2004. By now, he is living in the US and writing a column for the German online edition of Stern magazine every other week. Find it on www.stern.de/obradovic
In our Stories & Lifestyle section we will tell you about "drunk driving in the US - no petty offense." Same as in Germany, you have to face substantial fines and/or prison sentences for drinking and driving.
Our How To section will inform you about US customs regulations. We will inform you about everything from taking your pet to the US over the sending of gifts to the import of medication. The usual rules apply - get all necessary information in order to avoid unpleasant experiences at the border.
