A Green Card application is not complete without a medical examination with a so-called panel physician. All US immigration visas require that the applicant visit a doctor registered as a panel physician. The US embassy will provide the applicant with a list of doctors who are authorized to carry out these types of medical examinations. It is also important to note that an applicant must enter the USA to active their Green Card no longer than six months after this appointment.
