Green card lottery update

Again, there have been some changes this year, regarding the entry conditions as well as technical requirements.

The American Dream’s application deadline is November 15, 2008!

Applicants born in Russia are eligible for participation this year. Additionally, the State Department has some new rules concerning children who turn 21 during the application process. All children who are under the age of 21 at the time the application is filed, must be mentioned on the parents’ application. If they already are 21 by the time the immigration visa is issued (and thus have come of age even under American standards), the DV-lottery will from now on only consider the age at the time of application and not at the time of approval so that people who have just turned 21 still have a chance of obtaining a green card together with their parents. Provided the main applicant meets all eligibility requirements, we advise all married couples to apply individually, and applicants under the age of 21 to also file an application for themselves independent of their parents’ application.

This way, your chances of winning are twice or even three times as high.

The United States’ new rules also concern the digital photo: this year, pictures have to be submitted in a different pixel size and format than in the previous year. Our specially developed photo upload tool in the online application area (which automatically converts each photo of every size and format into the correct format and displays it for your approval) has already been adjusted to the new rules. Already submitted photos will be adjusted free of charge or requested to be submitted again if adjustment is not possible!

Since US authorities are already accepting applications since October 2, the American Dream is already submitting applications in the correct format. All our customers will receive the official participation certificate by the end of this year!
