But winning the lottery is no guarantee to receive a permanent visa. Even lottery winners have to fill out all necessary green card application forms, present all documents needed and wait for their request to be accredited.

Thought the advantages of the Green Card Program should not be despised, for it makes the terms and circumstances of American immigration more comprehensive and the process itself easier to manage. Still immigration into the United States is a demanding task with a high amount of bureaucracy to deal with.
