Green Card Status

People coming to the United States of America all belong to different categories. Among them are tourists only staying for a few weeks to tour the country, there are those who work there temporarily, for example at an university or there are those having a so-called “Green Card Status”, meaning they move their entire life to the United States in order to live and work there permanently. Those with Green Card Status have successfully completed their application for a work permit and are free to take up a place of residence at a state and city of their choice. As long as one has not entered the country yet even though the application-process is almost completed the Green Card Status can be considered as “pending” because the future holder still needs to actually immigrate to the US in order to finalize the process.
