Immigration Green Card

People wanting to become permanent residents of the United States of America need an Immigration Green Card to be permitted to stay in the US for an unlimited amount of time. Such an Immigration Green Card needs to be applied (for example in an immigration office) for and everyone interested is free to start the application-process at any time. For those neither directly related to an American citizen nor married to a Green Card holder there are two possible ways to receive the desired Green Card and immigrate to the United States.

Official Green Card Application

The first option is to download the necessary forms from the official USCIS website and apply the official bureaucratic way, possibly already with a job-offer from the US, and to wait for the approval of ones application. The second option to obtain an Immigration Green Card is to enter the American Green Card Lottery that hands out over 50,000 Green Cards every year since 1987. Become a permanent resident

Given one is accepted as eligible to be a potential permanent resident of the United States one has to wait until the official notification of the winners. Once a person receives their Immigration Green Card they are free to choose a place to live and to start looking for a job. This way the tradition of the United States as a nation of immigrants lives on with everyone moving to the US with an Immigration Green Card.
