It is an old and very common dream: Moving to the USA. Many movies deal with the topic of emigrating to USA and tell in more or less realistic ways the story of something that seems to be one of the last great adventures of our time. But those who seriously plan to immigrate into the United States know better.

The big Challenge of Immigration

Moving to the USA is a very demanding, expensive and time consuming task. First of all the formalities need to be settled, which means not only applying for a permanent residential permission to the United States, filling out forms at the USCIS and searching for a permanent residence in the USA.
Moving to the USA also means leaving the former home country forever or at least a long time, which is a procedure one has to go through as well. Contracts and policies must be canceled, the administration needs to be informed, property must be sold and so on.

A single person already has to face lots of obstacles if the decision to emigrate is made, but Moving to the USA with a hole family is even more challenging. One way to make this process of family immigration easier is to split up for a certain period of time so that only one parent moves to the country of destination to build up a new existence for the whole family while the other parent and the children stay in the former home country until everything is settled.
