Please note that there are no new cut-off numbers released. We therefore just give you the information again about the cut-off numbers for December 2009 and January 2011. All green card winners of the diversity visa program DV-2010 should check the information carefully and should start to prepare the needed documents for the interviews.

NO HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS VACCINE NEEDED, STARTING DECEMBER 14th, 2009

Today we have some good news for you! Starting December 14th, 2009, female green card winners will no longer need the HPV (human papillomavirus vaccine).

"Immigrant girls and women will no longer have to be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted virus to get their green cards.
Starting Dec. 14, the HPV, or human papillomavirus vaccine will no longer be on the list of immunizations female immigrants ages 11 to 26 must receive before becoming legal permanent residents."

REGISTRATION FOR GREEN CARD LOTTERY DV-12 POSSIBLE

The registration for the next green card lottery DV-2012 is already possible now.

Each year the USA grant annually 55,000 GreenCards via the Diversity-Visa-Program, in order to maintain a diversity in the population. The selection is random, like in every other lottery.

The number 2012 in the Diversity Program (DV) represents the American fiscal year starting on October 1st, 2011 and ending on September 2012. In the same period the winners will receive their GreenCards.

A registration is possible for almost everyone. The most important criterion is the country of your birth in accordance with current world political maps.

Excluded countries are:
Brazil, Canada, (People's Republic of) China (mainland born, except Taiwan and Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Korea, United Kingdom/Great Britain (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.

If you are born in one of the above mentioned countries, you may also apply if your spouse were born in one of the DV-2012-eligible countries, or if you were born in one of the above mentioned countries while your parents (both NOT born in this excluded country) were only temporary residents of the excluded, non-eligible countries.
