Harvard website hacked US Ivy League university Harvard has rejected more than 100 applicants because they had illegally accessed some internal pages on the university website.
The applicants for economic studies had tried to find out whether they had been accepted or rejected weeks before the official announcements. Not only Harvard, but also other Ivy League schools such as Stanford were affected.

The Dean of Harvard University had rejected 119 applicants because they had accessed internal pages of the website in an "immoral" way. The whole thing was discovered when anonymous internet users had published how applicants had accessed the internal admission data of the university. Even the applicants who had only found blank pages when they illegally accessed the site were rejected.
Places at Ivy League Universities are in high demand because graduates often get the best jobs.

Be careful at birthday parties Everyone knows it, everyone has sung it before - Happy Birthday To You. The melody has already been written in the 19th century, the lyrics were added in the 30s of the 20th century. Now, Time Warner has bought the rights for this song until the year 2030, which means it is illegal to perform the song in public unless you have paid the appropriate fees. American civil rights activists, however, believe that the song is common property and cannot be protected by copyright. They now ask people to report themselves on the internet.
