FYI - to all participants of the green card lottery DV-13 that participated by using the service of The American Dream:

All notifications have been sent out by us, no matter whether you’ve won or not, and should arrive in your mail within the next days. Therefore we ask you for a little more patience, since sending it through the post can sometimes take a bit longer. If you have not have received any notice from us by the end of May, please contact us.

If you are amongst the lucky winners, then you should read the winning documents carefully and if need be contact us when you have further questions or want to book the according winner’s service. We want to wish all winners all the best for your further path in the USA and thank you for placing your trust in us!

If you were not fortunate this time, then you should immediately take advantage of our regular customer fee and register for the DV-14 for the discounted price – you will be receiving a personal access code for this.

DV-2013: Drawing & winners’ notification

Dear lottery participants of the DV-2013: The US government has finished determining the winners of last year´s green card lottery. THE AMERICAN DREAM is currently checking the status of each and every customer based on the State Department´s database. Winners will be notified as quickly as possible.

We kindly ask you to remain patient for just a few more days as we expect to be able to inform all our customers - whether successful in the green card lottery or not - of their personal result by the end of next week! We will do so by regular (postal) mail and also by e-mail.

To ensure that you as a customer of THE AMERICAN DREAM get all the relevant information, please take care that your contact details are saved correctly. Reduction of Fees for GreenCard-Winners

The US Department of State has announced that as of April 13th 2012 visa processing fees for immigrant and nonimmigrant visa will be adjusted. While the fees for most of the nonimmigrant visa categories will be increased, the fees for the E-Visa (Treaty Investor and Trader visas) and the K-Visa (Fiancé(e) visas) will be decreased. Applicants for immigrant visas profit in all visa categories, because the all immigrant visa processing fees have been lowered.

 

 

For all green card winners that still have their interview appointment ahead of them this means that they will benefit from the new reduction of visa fees, since instead of US$ 440 they will only have to pay US$ 330 per person.

 

In fact, all immigrant visa processing fees have been reduced, not only for the diversity visa program. There are different reasons for the decrease of fees, one is that the costs connected with immigrant visa have been redistributed, making the lower fees possible.

 

Most of the nonimmigrant visa processing fees (except for the E and K visas where there was a also a fee reduction) and the border crossing cards have increased for which there are different reasons as well. For example, higher processing and administrative costs (new facilities, additional staffing) and a higher demand for nonimmigrant visas explain the rising prices.

Soon the time will come and waiting will have come to an end: The participants of the GreenCard lottery DV-2013 are waiting eagerly for the publication of this year’s winners. The announcements are to take place between May and June 2012, which means that most of our participants should get mail from us by the End of May. Our participants should log into their personal customer area of our website and check and if necessary change their address data so that we can inform them at once in case of win. New visa fee for GreenCard winners

US-authorities have lowered the visa fee that has to be paid at the interview appointment from US$ 819 to US$ 440 per person. Whether this is a temporary reduction and whether the fee will be increased again or re-appears in other places, cannot currently be said. However, we assume that the rest of the winners of the DV-2012, who have their interview appointment until the end of September 2012, will benefit from the lower visa fee.

Lottery DV-2013 deadline ahead

The application period of this year’s lottery has started! The American Dream has already submitted more than half of all applications received for the GreenCard lottery DV-2013.
Those of you who have not yet taken part should hurry up: The application deadline has been extended - but only until Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011!

The staff at The American Dream will, like every year, check every single application and contact the participants if anything is not correct.

The applications will be submitted successively and our office will make sure that even any last minute applications will meet the deadline by the US government´s State Department.

DV-2013: News from the US government

This week the US government has published the rules for this year´s greencard program (DVLottery), called DV-2013. Poland is among the participating countries again for the first time after 7 years, whereas Bangladesh has been excluded. This is a big disappointment in Bangladesh, which over the past few years was the country with the highest number of participants worldwide. In Europe, a lot of USA fanatics are bound to be happy though. Since the "country" refers to the "country of birth" when it comes to the DVLottery Program, a lot of people of Polish decent are finally allowed to take part again. Even people who have lived, for example, in England, Germany or Canada almost their whole life, had been excluded in recent years if they were born in Poland. This year, the only excluded European country is the UK.

 

In other news, the final deadline has also been announced and The American Dream has reacted promptly and extended it´s deadline as well to October 25th, 2011. This will give every interested applicant more than a month still to partcipate! We wish everyone good luck!  

DV-2012: Valid new results published

After the "programming glitch" which caused the first results of the green card lottery to be nullified in early May, the US government has now begun to publish the new results. The American Dream started downloading the results for all its customers and it looks good so far. More than 300 winners have already been notified and more are to follow in the upcoming days. We expect that we are able to notify all our customers by mail and email by the end of the month. We know that the waiting period has been extremely long this year, but now you will have to wait only a few more days. All the best, we keep our fingers crossed!

New drawing of the DV-2012 lottery!

Dear lottery participants DV-2012,

As you might have recognized, there have been delays in drawing the GreenCard lottery DV-2012 winners.

It is now confirmed that we will draw the winners once again. ALL of the previous results are invalid. Neither “has not been selected”, nor “has been selected” – both information are INVALID !

Here the following procedure:

The new results will be announced in mid-July. The assigned confirmation numbers as well as the filed DV-2012 applications stay valid.
We are asking you to be patient for two more months. We will keep you informed about the latest news as soon as possible.

Here the official DV12 Lottery site regarding the maladministration of the DV-2012 lottery. This notification also includes an official video message and an apology by David T. Donahue, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Visa Sevices.

Do not lose your hope: all cards will be reshuffled and set to its initial status. There is still a chance to snatch the most desired card in the world.

Delay of DV2012 Lottery Drawing

It has not been possible to check the GreenCard lottery results of the DV2012 since May 5th, 2011.
This is due to technical reasons on the part of the US Department of State. “We are experiencing technical difficulties at this time“, explains the Department of State.

Unfortunately, as a consequence, the announcement of the winners will be delayed for a few more days. As soon as the State Departmet releases the internet check, we will inform all customers regarding the results of the GreenCard lottery DV2012.

That is why we are asking you to be little more patient.

DV-12 lottery application period closed successfully - New registration for DV-13 already started!

The first milestone of the DV-12 lottery has been reached: The DV-12 lottery applications have been transferred to the US agencies last week.

From now on it is already possible to apply for the new DV-13 lottery for all those who missed their chances to apply for the DV-12 lottery in time.
The application process is pretty simple: You just have to click HERE and type in all requested data. Please keep in mind to check if all information is correct and to upload a photo of EACH family member.

Ready, set, go! - The new green card lottery DV- 12 is starting soon

The US Department of State published new information about the upcoming green card lottery DV-2012 just last week.

The timeframe to submit applications will now be shorter than ever before since the lottery turned electronic in 2003: It is open for only 30 days from early October until early November.
The American Dream will accept your application until October 25th, to make sure that we can thoroughly check your application before we submit it.

This year, the chances of winning may be higher than in the last years, because of two reasons:

1) The submission period is a whole month shorter than in the last seven years. This will likely result in a smaller number of participants, as the majority of people usually applied in November, which will be too late this year.

2) The US government itself will not send out winner´s notifications by postal mail anymore. We at The American Dream will still send you the result by postal mail, but all other participants who take part at their own risk will now need to hold on to a confirmation code which is displayed only online, and which will never be e-mailed or given out on request by the US government. If you lose this code during the 7-month period between the application and the results, it means you cannot win!

To avoid missing your winning notificiation and to benefit from a large array of other services, you should consider taking part through a reputable, government-licensed green card lottery provider like The American Dream. We will check and submit your application, send you the confirmation code, notify you by postal mail AND help you for FREE through all bureaucratic procedures once you are a winner!

First invitations for the DV-11 interview have been sent out

During the last couple of days the first invitations for interview appointments of the DV-11 lottery winners have been sent out by the US State Department.
Some of the The American Dream winners reported that they  have already been sent their invitation by mail.

From now on everybody should prepare all necessary documents which are required for the interview appointment, such as the police report (not older than 3 months at the day of your interview), proof of work experience/education and financial proofs.
All other documents needed, can be looked up in your winner documents on page 8.

1,316 new green card winners via The American Dream

In the beginning of June the statistical breakdown of the DV-11 lottery has been published.  But since the last two weeks our final winners, participating through The American Dream, have been informed by us.

We are proud to announce that 1,316 lucky winners of The American Dream will be able to live the "American Way of Life" pretty soon and have the right to apply for American citizenship after five years of living in the USA!

All of our customers who weren't among the lucky winners have been offered an especially reduced service fee in order to apply again for the next lottery DV-12. Many of our winners already sent their documents to the Kentucky Consular Centre and are now communicating about their immigration in our Bulletin Board for winners.

A lot of them are also posting on our Facebook website  or  are blogging about their new upcoming adventure.

We are always glad to guide our winners on their way to The USA.

The statistical breakdown of the DV Lottery 2011 has been published

The USCIS released the official numbers of winners per country of the DV-11 Lottery last Tuesday.
During the last weeks we have been able to congratulate more than 1,000 fortunate winners by mail, email or phone.
They have been sent our comprehensive and detailed winner brochure.


We are still receiving dozens of new winner notifications by the US State Department every day. But even though the statistical breakdown has been published already, there are still thousands of winner notifications on their way by mail. On inquiry we have been told by the responsible authority that it will take up to 2 weeks until all letters will be sent out. All winners will be notified the same day their notification arrives. As promised every The American Dream participant will be informed about their personal result by mail until the beginning of July 2010.

For those who won't be among the lucky winners, we will have a great special offer with a reduced price for the DV-2012 Lottery application. Until then there is no reason to abandon hope. We keep our fingers crossed for you and hope that we will be able to congratulate as many green card winners as possible.

More Green Card Winners DV-2011 announced

Until today, we have sent the Green Card winning notification to more than 700 of our DV-2011 customers! For the first time this year, these winners are able to use our newly implemented Facebook page to post their stories. Quite a few green card winners have done that already. More than 400 of the selected winners have also already registered in our exclusive forum which is open only for our winners. There they can exchange ideas and get help from other The American Dream winners and from our own team.

However, the notification period continues. We get more and more letters every week from the Kentucky Consular Center which selects the green card winners. All winners will immediately receive an email and/or phone call from us and will be forwarded the official documents along with an explicit manual on how to proceed to get the green card, for example how to fill in the additional forms and how to prepare for the interview at the US embassy to receive the immigration visa.

Around the beginning of July the official results for all dvlottery participants will be released by the State Department and all our customers will receive a written notice by postal mail.

GreenCard Winner's Meeting Hollywood

As some of you already know, the green card winners of The American Dream are organizing a winners meeting in the US every year. This is a great experience for all participants. They have the chance to exchange their thoughts and ideas with other green card winners, find new friends and talk about the good old times back home.

For this year's meeting, the green card winners chose the great destination Hollywood. Unfortunately, The American Dream could not be there but we designed a nice T-Shirt for the winners and sent them to the US - as a surprise.

We are very happy to guide our winners through the whole green card process and to see, that new friendships are built.

150 green card winners DV-2011

On April 26th, 2010, we received the first winning notification of one of our customers. It was the same procedure like in the last years: we first received the winning letters for our African winners. This week we have finally received the first European winning notifications and we are very happy to already announce more than 150 winners among our customers. Those green card winners of the DV-2011 (application was made in 2009) were informed immediately via e-mail or telephone and are now waiting to receive the original documents by registered mail.

This year, our service is even more appreciated: For the first time, the US authorities are sending out DIN A5 envelopes to the green card winners which only contain two papers. All other documents have to be filled out online.

As a special service, The American Dream is sending out a detailed winner's brochure (about 30 pages) with all important information about the further green card process, tips on how the documents have to be filled out and the original printed forms.

What is the next step? Step by step we will inform more and more green card winners. But it will take some time until all green card winners will be notified and we expect to receive the last winning notifications from the US authorities by the end of July 2010.
