According to the American definition, a professional worker is holding at least a bachelor's degree. In the US, this degree is usually obtained by a four-year college education.
In order to qualify for the EB-3 green card, you have to demonstrate that your foreign degree is the equivalent to a degree obtained from a U.S. university. This can be done by an evaluation service in the U.S. (e.g. www.jsilny.com).
