What are the requirements for this category?

Anyone who has ever received an international award (e.g. Nobel Prize, Oscar etc.) may automatically qualify for the green card for persons with extraordinary ability. Furthermore, the category has been expanded to include persons who fulfill at least three of the following set of requirements:

  • national and/or international recognized prizes and awards in the field of endeavor
  • membership in associations that require outstanding achievements of their members
  • published material about the applicant in professional publications or other media
  • acting as a judge of the work of other experts in the same field
  • original contributions of major significance in the field
  • authorship of important articles in professional or other trade publications
  • display of own works at artistic exhibitions
  • contributions to the work of organizations that have a distinguished reputation
  • commercial success in performing arts

Apart from these 10 criteria, anyone may submit additional documentation as evidence of extraordinary ability.
