What is an “on-site inspection?”
Unfortunately, the R-1 visa has been frequently abused over the past years. For that reason, US authorities have made some significant changes in this category.
Among other things, the so-called “on-site inspections” have been announced. This enables US immigration officers to conduct on-site inspections at the religious organization during the application process. These may include inspection of the premises, interviews with leaders of the organization and inspection of documents.
