What type of visa do accompanying family members get?
What type of visa do accompanying family members get?
Spouses and unmarried children under the age of 21 can apply for the P-4 visa. Other than derivative visas in the L-1 or E-1/E-2 category, the P-4 visa does not allow the accompanying spouse to apply for a work permit.
Children may, of course, attend high school or college/university.
IMPORTANT: unmarried or same-sex partners do not receive a related status, the latter even if they are married under foreign law or US state law. They will have to apply for their own (work) visa
