Coming from a big city like Berlin I enjoy parking in Maine. Berlin is crowded everywhere. I think there is almost no street in Berlin where it isn’t hard to find a parking place. And if you are lucky to find one you had better be good at parallel parking; otherwise you are doomed. If you are not able to squeeze your ass into tiny spots, just leaving three inches in front of your car and in the back, you better not drive a car at all.

This is my fifth year and my fifth Halloween is coming up. My first Halloween in the US was fun. Two of my stepsons were still young enough to do the “Trick or Treat”thing. The weeks before that day they had worked hard to create the best costumes.

I am emancipated. I was raised to take care of myself and not depend on men doing it for me. As a teenager I read tons of literature about the suppression of women and how to change society in order to make it more gender equal.
