If applying through the post: Please send us a photo which is at least 37 x 37 mm oder 50 x 50 mm. Both formats are accepted by the US authorities.
In 2003, the USA changed its application regulations and required that all applications be submitted digitally. It is okay if your photo differs slightly from the strict requirements because we can digitally upload your photo into the correct format and size.
Of course, we also accept digitally submitted photos. You can upload your photos into your customer account when applying or you can send us the photos digitally. With our exclusive The American Dream photo-upload-tool, however, uploading your photos yourself is easily and quickly done. After uploading your photo, you will immediately see it in our photo-upload-tool. Here you have the possibility to zoom in and out until your head fits perfectly into the marked area. All photos will be automatically uploaded in the required quadratic form. It does not matter if your digital photo does not meet the exact photo requirements. Our highly-developed photo-upload-tool will automatically upload and save all photos in the correct digital format and size.
Important for returning customers: By logging in to your customer account, you can review your application, contact details and photos from last year. It is important that you keep this information up-to-date. We recommend uploading a new photo every year.
